I was born and raised in Grants Pass, Oregon and received my Masters Degree in Agricultural Education from Oregon State University in 2000. For the past 11 years I have worked as a high school teacher.
A love of travel first spurred my interest in photography. Having visited 50 states and 4 countries, taking pictures was a natural way to remember treasured vacations. After receiving encouragement from family, friends and students (who needed last minute Senior Pictures) I started taking photography more seriously in 2008. I try to utilize beautiful light and never pass up an opportunity for a lens flare. I also love capturing real moments in unique outdoor settings. I started my business, The Road, in 2010 and specialize in portrait and landscape photography.
I am self-taught but draw inspiration from my favorite photographers, Kristy Behrs of Wreckless Photography and Clayton Austin of Clayton Austin Love Stories. I shoot with a Nikon D5100 and primarily use a 35mm f/1.8 lens.
